Wise words from a decent man

"Fashion does not have to prove that it is serious. It is the proof that intelligent frivolity can be something creative and positive." - Karl Lagerfeld

Do the cha-cha in some Rosa Cha

The lovely Ms. Chanel Iman stars in this alluring Rosa Cha Spring 2011 ad campaign. Lensed by Gui Paganini, the campaign features Iman in some stunning prints and multi-coloured pieces from the collection.

I've always been a fan of Rosa Cha. I feel that the collection always takes swimwear to another level. You know, not just another itsy-bitsy bikini, but rather luxurious, sexy pieces that will leave you being the envy of many.

Just looking at the campaign makes me want to go to the beach. The water, the warm palette, and the sun piercing through the foliage creates such a tranquilizing and inviting ambience.

I'd do the cha-cha on the beach in some Rosa Cha any day...

Nothing but your t-shirt on...

Capture d’écran iPad 1Le T-shirt Vogue 90 ans au Printemps de la mode

So my beloved French Vogue is celebrating its 90th birthday and to commemorate the occasion, their selling 350 exclusive t-shirts with Lara Stone's boobs on them! (It's actually the cover picture of the special issue). Anyway, I wouldn't mind having one of those t-shirts - definite street chic.

Editor-in-chief, Carine Roitfeld, had this to say about the magazine's 90th birthday celebrations:
"Vogue Paris has always played the card of audacity. We couldn’t do a lukewarm issue.”

Lukewarm? Never. The cover says it all...

Gucci Cruise 2011 Lookbook

Man I love Gucci. If I could marry Frida Giannini, I probably would. She is an absolute genius when it comes to fashion. The Gucci Cruise 2011 collection was definitely one of my favourties, so naturally, I find the Lookbook for the collection amazing. (The fact that it features yet another one of my favourite models, Karmen Pedaru, doesn't hurt either). The mute colours and the whole military slant of the collection is super attractive. The Lookbook is laid-back, glamorous and always chic, with oversized bags any women would kill for.

Lanvin + H&M = perfect marriage

Hannelore Knuts, Jane Schmitt, Tati Collitar, and Natasha Poly look super-chic in the Lanvin for H&M Autumn 2010 campaign preview. I love the 'Lanvin (heart) H&M' detail on the bag in the first shot. I have to admit though that the suspense for the campaign is killing me (it only launches on November 23rd). Until then, we wait and marvel at the beauty that is Lanvin.

This is the money shot right here. She may have a made-for-fame-kinda-name, but Ms. Georgia May Jagger is one good model. She exudes elegant seduction in an assemblage of gorgeous, glistening gowns in the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar US.

'Winter Carnival'

Sessilee Lopez and Joan Smalls have to be some of my favourite models right now. Joan Smalls is absolutely, positively one of the most beautiful women in fashion - I watched the Dolce & Gabanna Spring 2011 show about 5 times this past weekend just to see her walk. And Sessilee Lopez... man, Wendell Lissimore is one lucky gentleman. Whoever said models are 'strange-looking' clearly hasn't seen these two.

This October 2010 Allure editorial features Sessilee with yet another Dominican stunner, Arlenis Sosa Peña. The girls work it out in some luxe furs, prints, trench coats and (my favourite) Burberry shearling boots. The shoot was lensed by Norman Jean Roy and impeccably styled by Siobhan Bonnouvrier.

Some great looks of super stylish people from one of my favourite webites StockholmStreetStyle. I love the black jacket in the second pic and Frida and Carmen also look amazing. How hot does Aline look in the last pic rocking heels on a bike, Parisian style? Love it.

Kate, perpetually beautiful

The model - Kate Moss. The magazine -  Vogue Paris September 2010. The photographers - Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. The stylist - Emmanuelle Alt . The clothes - Chanel, Isabel Marant, Balmain, Dior etc etc. The result - super-sexy, rock-chick chic. Sold? You bet...

'Top fashion'

How beautiful does Chanel Iman look in this issue of Vanity Fair Italy? The American stunner sports looks by the likes of Max Mara, Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci, Giorgio Armani and Roberto Cavalli for the eclectic and gorgeous editorial. It was shot by Rafael Stahelin and styled by Ye Young Kim.  J'adore.

All jean everything

Don't you just love it when an ad does what it's supposed to - sell the product. That's exactly what this Zoomp’s Spring 2011 campaign does, especially since the models are pretty much in nothing else but jeans. I love the smoky, dreamy shots by Fernando Mazza. They make me one get a pair of those jeans too.

Mini tutu

So this is my first try at 'real photography' (for a Photojournalism project I just did). It's a pretty random picture of a random dress with a vintage belt and a necklace I love. Let's just say, another one of my random aspirations is fashion photography.
